Western Harnett High School - Health Fair

We distributed 28 Narcan kits, and were able to speak with many agencies and citizens of Harnett County regarding the dangers of illicit fentanyl and the power of life-saving Narcan.

Overhills High School - Fall Festival

We distributed 40 boxes of Narcan, mostly to students at OHS who were eager to learn and embraced the idea they could save a life. They shared about those they know using drugs and what they see at school and elsewhere. It was such a good experience to talk with these young people and equip them with knowledge and a critically important tool.

Slippery Rock University - "Kick It 4 Mental Health Awareness" Game

Thanks to the Slippery Rock University Women's Soccer Team, the Slippery Rock University Student Health Center, and The Hidden Opponent organization, we were able to help make the Mental Health Awareness Game a huge success and priority on campus. In this combined team effort, we successfully brought mental health awareness to the forefront, contributed sufficiently to shooting out the stigma, and distributed lifesaving Narcan to students and the community.

Kendra Scott Give Back Event

The warmth and generosity of Kendra Scott at Streets of Southpoint shone brightly during the recent Kendra Scott Gives Back Fundraising Event. Their unwavering dedication and hospitality provided the perfect platform for 2 Out Rally to engage and inform attendees about the perils of illicit fentanyl and the pressing mental health issues in our community. With the support of their remarkable team, 2 Out Rally succeeded in spreading crucial awareness about these critical issues, reinforcing their mission to STRIKEOUT illicit fentanyl and RALLY 4 mental health.

Kendra Scott's commitment to this cause demonstrated the power of collaboration and community in creating positive change. Their hospitality left an indelible mark on the event, making it an exceptional milestone in the ongoing fight against illicit fentanyl and for mental health awareness.

North Carolina State Capitol Rally

2 Out Rally, in collaboration with the Fentanyl Victims Network of North Carolina and the Forgotten Victims of North Carolina, orchestrated a resounding rally on the steps of the North Carolina State Capitol. Their mission was to raise awareness about the scourge of illicit fentanyl and to implore those in positions of legislative and judicial power to initiate impactful changes. The call for bipartisan action resounded, highlighting that illicit fentanyl was an indiscriminate threat, affecting people regardless of their background or beliefs.

The urgency of the situation was unmistakable as the statistics were unveiled. Fentanyl's toll, equivalent to a new September 11 tragedy nearly every two weeks, underscored the gravity of the situation. The demand for the designation of Mexican cartels and transnational criminal organizations as foreign terrorist entities was sounded, emphasizing the immediate threat they posed to the United States. It was a rallying cry for unity and action in the face of a perilous crisis that demanded swift and resolute measures.

Fayetteville Woodpeckers - First Responders Night

The spirited atmosphere of the Fayetteville Woodpeckers game, the community came together for an unforgettable evening of support and awareness. Positioned on the 3rd base side, adjacent to the Grab n Go zone, 2 Out Rally took the opportunity to spread vital knowledge about illicit fentanyl and mental health. A hub of information, they engaged visitors, sharing resources on the dangers of illicit fentanyl and the importance of mental health awareness. As the night unfolded, the occasion took on even greater significance as it coincided with First Responder's and 2 Out Rally Fundraiser night, a tribute to heroes and a means to champion a worthy cause.

The evening crescendoed into a spectacle of unity as the baseball game concluded, ushering in a breathtaking display of fireworks. Grateful for the overwhelming support, 2 Out Rally expressed their appreciation to the Friday attendees who embraced the conversation on Mental Health and Illicit Fentanyl. The event highlighted the widespread impact of the epidemic and solidified connections for future partnerships. A remarkable night at the Fayetteville Woodpeckers, it left a resounding promise of collaboration and anticipation for the future.

Pinehurst Bogey's - Pink -n- the Park Night

An exhilarating clash between the Sandhills Bogeys and the Oak City Gliders, the stage was set for a remarkable event. With Saturday's game designated as Sandhills Bogeys Pink in the Park Night, the anticipation for an unforgettable evening was palpable. Positioned amidst the excitement, 2 Out Rally welcomed all to engage and discover ways to contribute to the fight against illicit fentanyl and the cause of mental health awareness. Their presence at the Sandhills Bogeys game was a testament to their commitment to spreading awareness.

As the game played out, the invitation extended far and wide for attendees to swing by, connect, and learn how they too could play a part in STRIKEOUT out illicit fentanyl and RALLY 4 mental health. The synergy of the event and the urgent message it carried created an atmosphere of unity and purpose. Amidst the cheers and camaraderie, the evening resonated with the shared mission to create lasting change in the face of pressing challenges.

North Carolina Family Summit on Illicit Fentanyl Fatalities - Boone, NC

Amidst the resounding efforts of the Fentanyl Victims Network of North Carolina and the Forgotten Victims of North Carolina, the echoes of change reverberated once more as another Fentanyl Family Summit unfolded. A gathering that surged with collaborative energy, propelling justice, awareness, and transformation against the illicit fentanyl crisis. For 2 Out Rally, the privilege of attending and addressing the Family Summit on Illicit Fentanyl Fatalities in Western NC became a testament to their commitment. In Boone, the voices of families united, fueling the momentum that underscores their fight against illicit fentanyl.

As the event culminated, gratitude flowed towards those champions of the cause—State Representative Ray Pickett, NC Department of Justice Representative Holly Jones, and Sheriff Samuel Scott Page of the Rockingham County Sheriff's Department. Their unwavering dedication and advocacy resonated profoundly with the families affected by this epidemic. With hearts and voices aligned, they continued to forge a path towards lasting change against the shadow of illicit fentanyl.

Western Harnett Youth Recreation Baseball/Softball Opening Day

2 Out Rally found a meaningful platform within the Western Harnett Youth Recreation Baseball and Softball Spring Opening Day festivities. Collaborating with Western Harnett Youth Recreation enabled us to not only increase awareness but also educate the community, fostering connections with those impacted by the rising fentanyl crisis. The grim loss of 3,062 North Carolinians in 2022, coupled with an average of 8 daily deaths due to fentanyl, highlighted the urgency of the situation. This potent opioid, especially devastating among the young, played a major role in almost two-thirds of all drug-related fatalities, emphasizing the immediate need for intervention.

However, fentanyl is just a fraction of the challenge; the youth faced alarmingly high rates of mental health concerns like depression and anxiety, often leading to isolation and despair, which when coupled with substance abuse, can be even more destructive. Raising awareness emerged as a critical strategy in averting fentanyl-related deaths and providing vital resources and assistance for those grappling with mental health issues. The call to action was clear: together, we must STRIKEOUT fentanyl and orchestrate a powerful RALLY 4 mental health consciousness.

University of North Carolina - Wilmington Memorial Bricklaying Ceremony

Gathering at the Fisher Memorial Garden in the heart of the University of North Carolina - Wilmington, we found solace in the Annual Brick Dedication Ceremony. Walking through the campus brought a rush of sentiments and recollections.

The unwavering support and affection from the UNCW faculty deeply moved us as we paid tribute to Alex and the other cherished Seahawk members who had left us in the preceding year. Gratitude overflowed toward Alex's fraternity brothers in Pi Kappa Alpha, their unity and commitment promising to preserve his legacy and support his sisters for years ahead. Dr. Lowell Davis, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, and Larry Wray, Executive Director of Campus Life, stood as pillars of compassion since the beginning, their efforts etching profound gratitude within our family for ensuring Alex and the entire Seahawk Family would never be forgotten.

North Carolina Family Summit on Illicit Fentanyl Fatalities - Raleigh, NC

United with fellow North Carolina families at the NC Family Summit on Illicit Fentanyl Fatalities, our hearts were heavy as we listened to poignant stories of loved ones lost to the fentanyl scourge, like the heartbreaking tale of Alex. The room was a mosaic of grief, a testament to the devastating impact of this lethal substance. Attorney General Josh Stein's resolute commitment through the Fentanyl Task Force and insights from the DEA underscored the gravity of the battle against fentanyl trafficking. Humbled to be part of Harnett County, we stood with Sheriff Coates, Lieutenant Christensen, and DA Matthews as they recounted their tireless efforts to educate and prosecute those responsible for this poison's distribution.

The grim reality hit hard—8 lives are claimed daily by fentanyl in North Carolina alone. Like Alex, most victims were unknowingly ingesting this deadly substance, deceived by its disguise. Bound by a common purpose, we resolved that change was imperative, that we would be the echoing voice for those like Alex who didn't choose to succumb. In this unwavering stance, we vowed to keep his spirit vibrant and unyielding, advocating for transformation in the name of all those lost too soon.
